DCS² is a combat and role play game platform not unlike your favorites such as your own personal computer, the SL viewer, Playstation, Wii, etc. Game designers (SIM Owners) program the DCS2 to help them design and make their game a playable MMORPG without ever having to touch a line of code all from an administrative control panel. Just like any SIM, Toxia has a specific configuration we set up to meet our needs. The following topics are instructions based on how we have set it up.
Toxia is set up on the level system.
The Level system is configured where players earn XP by various means from kills to role play rewards and automatically level up unlocking higher stats and powers.
DCS² is needed and required for combat.
Do not detach your DCS² during combat or immediately after.
If you do not want to engage in combat, go noncombative with /9off if you have not already been attacked.
Do not harass noncombative players to set their meter to a combative state so you can fight them.
Do not
attack someone that is not wearing a DCS or is noncombative.
Do not use
methods to unfairly camp for XP
Select the link below according to the SIM you are in. If you have never used an slurl link before, selecting the link will pop open another web page showing a map, you select teleport now and it will open a landmark in your Second Life Viewer. Select the option to "Show on Map" and it will open your map and show you the location of the DCS2 vendor, proceed accordingly.
The DCS is 75 linden and comes free with melee weapons. You receive free updates and your DCS will work in any SIM. When you teleport to various sims your DCS downloads the "game" for that SIM so there is no need to buy another ever. If there isn't a configuration set up for that sim your DCS will default to a global configuration.
Once you purchase the DCS², your product will arrive within a minute or so. Open your inventory and select the "Recent Items" tab, drag the item out of your inventory onto the ground, then touch the box to open and copy the contents in your inventory. Go back to your recent items in your inventory and you will find the entire contents of the package. Right click and select "wear" on the DCS system as shown in the pic with the yellow marker.
Immediately after attaching, your new DCS² will load and check for updates. The DCS² is constantly improved and sometimes the vendors have an old version. If you are handed an update, please repeat the steps above to get the current version out of the box. Out of date versions are not compatible with current versions.
WARNING! It is very common for players to hit the mute option when given an update. If you do this, you will not be able to receive updates, receive other DCS² products or even be able to get a response from Dimentox Travanti. If you do not get your product or update, please go to the top of your screen select view then mute list. Make sure Dimentox Travanti’s name is not on the list. If you hit discard, please check your inventory trash for the item.
As soon as you attach a current version of the DCS² it will then prompt you to choose a race. Before choosing a race it is highly suggested you read over the following if you haven't already done so.
Once you choose a race and sex for your character; your character will then load. If this is the first time you have worn DCS² you will be given a password to log into the DCS² site. If this is not your first time it will be the same password for all SIMs. If you do not remember your password you can type /9resetpass in chat and you will be given a new random password. You can change this to something you're comfortable with on the site.
Accessing your character on the DCS2 web site
You will be prompted to log into the DCS² web site to view or edit your character.
To log in, enter your SL avatar name (case sensitive), followed by the password issued to you by the DCS in-world. It is recommended to copy and paste from your local chat log. Click Login.
Select the sim your avatar is located in. Click Login, then continue.
Using the icons on the left, you may:
1. Change your password if you wish; alternatively you may enter “/9resetpass” in local chat at anytime to reset your password from in-game. (Copy and paste this into the login box on the web site)
2. View important sim information, view your character sheet, edit your character stats
3. Enter a character bio.
View & Edit Character Sheet
Select “edit chars” on the left hand side. The stats, powers, and abilities listed are what are assigned to your character for the region you are in. Select “Player Bio Edit” to add a background/profile for your character. Remember to hit enter at the end of each line so it formats properly. You may copy the url at the bottom of your character sheet and paste it into the web tab of your SL profile so others may see who you are and all your capabilities.
You may class once you hit level 5. All races have 3 class options Tank, DPS, and healer. In Toxia each class has specific powers and it is the same for every race. For instance all healers have the same healing type powers no matter which race you are. To view a list of class names and power types go to the races category and click on the corresponding picture to get a better view. Races
To class, log into the DCS site using the instructions located on the dcs2.org tab above. Select "edit char"
