Blood bath overflows from flood waters
Written by Duckie Dickins

Blood Bath Overflows!

Breaking News from South Toxia.Flood damage has been heavy as the south side has been seeing much more flooding due to it being closer to sea level. South Toxia residences have been seen wading through the flood waters to higher ground on the north side of town. One disturbing discovery was found in what locals call "Date Rape Park" where an enchanted fountain flowing with blood is located.

"I was wading my way to Haven from the Dark Harbor Apartments when I saw the mess" one nameless bystander reported, "The blood fountain had spilled over. The water was red with blood. I gave the park a width berth and instead took Superbia Street instead "

Close Up of the spillage

While exploring the city to cover the news of the flood I happen to walk past a group of people and happened to hear the following.

"I have heard the broadcast.  The bloodpool has overflowed.  Vamps will be on the look out for fresh prey.  Make certain you are armed. That is an order."

Not only do the citizens have the flood and corpses to contend with, but now it seems there is great concern about hungry vampires looking for prey to feed upon.

We'll keep you posted on the latest news concerning the flood. You can also tune in to KTOX Radio by pointing your media software to http://stream.ktox.net:8600/ or visit WWW.KTOX.NET

Flood unearths cemetary corpses!
Written by Duckie Dickins

Flood unearths cemetary corpses

It had been raining in Toxia for weeks on end. The endless storm covering the city had been nonstop. The ground had finally reached its saturation point and water slowly began to pool. Alarmed citizens began to take action. The Coven were seen sandbagging their Voodoo Shop on the south side of town while homeless were seen filling and placing sandbags around the entrance to the shelter. I spoke with one homeless person who wished to remain nameless and he stopped a moment to speak with me.

"The shelter has been a godsend since all this rain started. If I didn't have the shelter I would probably be soaked to the bone for the last several weeks. Now the water is rising and we're placing sandbags around the shelter so water won't get in. When you have little or nothing, you take care of what little you do have so I don't mind working out in the rain to keep the roof over my head dry"

 Floating corpses

As the water rose, the soft earth could not contain the still buoyant corpses and they soon broke through the earth and began floating around the city. The water continues to rise and an end to the rain isn't in sight. Stay tuned for more updates. KTOX, the local radio station has enacted the emergency broadcast system. The New Threat
Written by Duckie Dickins

the-new-threat

Toxia has been under siege the last several days by a new threat to the city. Unspeakable monsters appeared creating havok for the citizens of the city. A photographer managed to capture this image, moments before meeting his demise, of the monsters as they appeared on Toxic Beach. After the attack the camera was recovered so that we may bring you this photo documenting the new threat facing the city.

NEWS FLASH: The Toxic Queen is Dead!!!
Written by Duckie Dickins

You heard it here first, boys and girls. The Toxic Queen made an appearance in the wee hours of the early morning seeking to destroy the city we all have come to call "home" and the citizens responded back with fury as bullets pelted the Toxic Queen from all directions.  Casualties were high as the Toxic Queen unleashed her malice upon the citizens and yet when the smoke cleared, among the dead and injured citizens lay the fallen Toxic Queen. Her armies of Toxic Waste monsters and Toxic Reapers came to her aid but it was too late for the fallen queen. This photograph was taken by a brave soul who approached the fallen queen moments before her body sunk into the ground.

Please take caution if you approach the corpse as many have discovered that her toxicity is still very high and she has injured a few curious onlookers from the grave with her toxic corpse.

TOXIAN CITY is a dark urban live action role playing game (LARP) built within Second Life. The city’s setting is what is left of a blue collar town after a major disaster hit. The build was designed to evoke a sense of horror and give the characters a variety of interesting settings to roleplay within. Toxia is an open form RPG where you can freely develop and play your character within the construct of the Toxian mythos. The dynamic roleplay is primarily driven by the creative players with occasional storylines run by the staff. The players have a common enemy; a variety of Toxian themed fully scripted NPC monsters to battle and unite against. Using the Dynamic Combat System (DCS) as a Combat Meter it allows the players to play out their character more realistically with various races and powers available appropriate for their race of choice. Toxia supports the following races into its mythos : Vampires, Werewolves, Supernaturals, Elves, Mutants, Demons, Angels, Cybernetics, and Humans.
